How we met...

This is our story... I met Benssy while on a mission trip to Haiti for the summer in 2oo2, he was our translator. I remember that we connected that first day as I showed him one of the crafts that we were going to be making for the kids at VBS. From that point on we were inseperatable. When I left that summer I thought that was it but we continued to communicate through some emails, very few phone calls(I found out later after we were married that Benssy would use the money he had for food for the day to call me) and some letters. I went back down to Haiti several times over the next year and half and after I graduated from Johnson Bible College I decided to buy a one way ticket there and I was not going to come back home with out him. And now here we are, married for 4 years with a beautiful little boy and Benssy now in the Navy. Life sure is unexpected and wonderful!! And I am sure glad that I serve a God that extends past distance and culture to see the people He created and the story that He has written. Of course this is the short version.
